Frequently asked
How does the 7-day trial work?
You start using Cilantro the moment you install it. Day 1–7 is free, every feature unlocked, no card charged. On day 8, if you haven't picked a plan, the app pauses until you do. Your data stays put — your accounts, transactions, anomalies, and trips are all preserved.
Does Apple Family Sharing really cover both of us?
Yes. One of you subscribes from your Apple ID, and the other gets full access automatically through your Apple Family group. No second login, no second purchase, no "premium spouse seat." Switching the primary subscriber later is supported by Apple.
Can I switch from monthly to annual (or vice versa)?
Yes — anytime, in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iPhone. Apple prorates the change. Switching plans does not affect your trial eligibility.
What if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. After that, the app pauses but your data is preserved for 30 days — re-subscribing within that window restores everything instantly. After 30 days, your bank connection is removed so we stop paying for an inactive user; your local data is still intact and a quick re-link brings you back.
Refunds?
Refunds for App Store subscriptions go through Apple — request one anytime at reportaproblem.apple.com. We don't see the request directly but we don't dispute reasonable ones, either.
Is there a free tier?
Not currently. Free tiers always end up either too generous (Cilantro keeps paying for inactive users forever) or too crippled (the free tier didn't actually show what Cilantro is). The 7-day trial is the honest middle ground — you get the whole thing, free, long enough to know.
Why this price?
$5.83/mo on the annual plan puts Cilantro under Monarch ($14.99), Copilot ($13), and YNAB ($14.99) — even though you get two seats, not one. We're solo-built, so we don't have a sales team to fund or a Series-B burn rate to feed. The math works at this number.
Ready to try it?
